Makoto is small with a small menu, but both are not negatives. The menu has pictures of all the food available, which made it easier for my friend and I to identify what had come to our table and to make a decision when ordering. Even though the restaurant is small, we could tell that the seating was still spacious for ourselves and other guests. Great job on the lamb.... did not have the lamb taste that many dislike. Overall my friend and I had a good experience.. good job guys!
The food was really good and fresh, we ate mostly beef. The noodles were good aswel and kids liked the fries. Our server was vary nice. My 3 girls had a really amazing experience here. It was a bit pricy but the kids really had fun.
Delicious food and friendly and efficient service! There was a wide variety of meats that were different from other bbq places - different cuts and different marinades - but they also had great side options and so many mushrooms for a mushroom lover like me!! Really great choices! Would recommend! We'll be back! Thank you for a great first visit!
Our date night on Friday was a delightful experience that exceeded our expectations. First time ever and the all servers were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The meat selections were amazing and seemed like high quality meat - very tasty seasonings. The atmosphere was a vibe. Overall great experience. Looking forward to bringing friends with us next time.
First time going, table for 5, and my experience was amazing! All you can eat within 2 hours, cook your own food, which doesn't take alot of time. I thought 2 hours wasn't enough time for the price but it was and we were full. Staff were attentive and polite. We received our orders in a timely manner. Atmosphere is small but intimate and clean. Desserts - creme brule and frozen flavored bar was delicious. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Best BBQ spot in Pickering is truly impressive and highly recommended! While the menu isn’t the largest, it offers more than enough variety, especially if you’re here for the meat. The quality of the meat stands out-it’s fresh, well-marinated, and grills up juicy and flavorful, as you can see in the photo. The seafood, like mussels, and sides such as kimchi and seaweed salad, are also fresh and tasty. Service is excellent-the staff are polite, attentive, and quick to help with orders or changing the grill. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, making it a great place for gatherings with friends or family. If you’re a meat lover who values quality, this is easily the top AYCE BBQ choice in Pickering. Food came in small portions but you can always add more so it wont waste food. Highly recommended!
Our experience at Yakyoto AYCE Japanese grill was enjoyable, much like my visit to Gyubee. The seasoning on the meats we ordered was excellent, and the spicy shrimp was delicious. The kids loved the Furikake fries l, Karaage chicken wings and the cheesy corn. The Takoyaki was amazing, and so was the bibimbap, with its flavourful sauce and egg. The desserts were a great way to end the meal - we enjoyed the creme brulee, while the kids had Melona. Since some flavours were unavailable, they kindly offered chocolate sundae for our little one. Great atmosphere, wonderful service and we were never reminded of the time there. We had a lovely time altogether. Overall glad to have a AYCE Japanese grill in Durham region.
